Respectable Street
Respectable Street has become an institution in South Florida and is considered one of the premier live music venues in the country. Opened in 1987, Respectable Street was the first location and the concept behind the Subculture Group. Built on an old Salvation Army building circa 1923, Respectable Street has hosted over 1000 live acts ranging from the first performing avant-garde act, Chris and Cosey, to The Red Hot Chili Peppers and legends like the Damned, The Misfits. Indie newcomers Surfer Blood have honed their talents at Respectable Street and have gone on to National acclaim. See a list of their upcoming events here.
The Peach Art Collective
The Peach is Palm Beach County’s most popular and active Art Collective. They host art walk weekends, live entertainment, DJs, creative vendors, open art studios, education, community events, and more! If you're looking for a place to create collectively, be it painting, drawing, film, video, audio, graphics, 3D printing, projection mapping, photography, silk screening, and more, check out their list of upcoming events here.
Subculture Film Festival
The Subculture Film Fest will be taking place from October 20th through the 22nd, 2023. This three-day event celebrates the art of cinema and focuses on curating the best in new independent films from South Florida and beyond. For tickets and information, see here.
The Pit Studio
The Pit is the heart of The Peach's Art Collective and the educative arm of the Subculture Film Festival. The Pit is not just a place to learn about film, but a community of like-minded individuals who share a love for the art form and the ways to implement and execute it. The studio's up-close and personal setting supports a learning environment where people can experiment while they receive personalized attention and guidance from top-notch industry professionals. Hospitality Helping Hands
Hospitality Helping Hands is Subculture Group's 501(c)3 nonprofit organization formed to help feed hospitality workers, their families, local charities, and others in need during the Coronavirus shutdown. Since then, this charity has also placed thousands of animals in distress in loving homes, fed the homeless, and given time, money, and resources to many impoverished areas. Subculture Radio is an online platform and a project dedicated to Promoting music and events by showcasing DJs and live performances focusing on reggae, dancehall, hip hop, jungle, drum & bass, and all sorts of bass and authentic tropical-oriented rhythms. The main station features individual mixes, podcasts, performances, guest mixes, back-to-back, and live sets. The other four stations Bean Radio, Radio DADA, Roots Radio, and Sonic Fuzz Radio, specialize in very different formats.
